Competition Communication & Info:

Meet updates and communication will be sent via emails that are listed on Direct Athletics. Only registered coaches will receive communication.


Awards:

Medals will be awarded to the top finisher in each event and will be given out at the conclusion of each event. Team Champion trophies will be awarded to the top Boys & Girls team at the conclusion of the meet. Please be sure to remain after the meet to collect any remaining awards.


Officials:

The Broward County Track & Field Officials Association will be on-site for this meet. This meet will be sanctioned by the FHSAA as a regular season qualifying meet. FHSAA APPROVED SANCTIONED MEETS



Packet Pick-Up:

Packets will be available when gates open at 7:00am. The coaches meeting will be conducted in the center of the Football field. You will be able to pick up packets during the coaches meeting at the Clerk of the Course tent.


Team drop-off & Bus Parking:

Buses must follow the signs directing them to the designated team drop-off area near the softball field. Teams must follow the map and will not be permitted to unload near the spectator gate. After drop-off, buses will park in the lot near the baseball field. Please refer to the map below for details.


Athlete & Coaches

Only athletes actively competing in the long jump, triple jump, or high jump will be permitted on the infield. Any athlete found on the infield without competing in these events will be disqualified. Coaches are not allowed on the infield due to sanctioning regulations. Designated coaches' boxes will be available at each of the jumping events (long jump, triple jump, and high jump). Athletes participating in these events will be issued wristbands to grant access to the infield. Wristbands will be included in the coaches’ packets.


Tent City:

Tent City will be set up on the softball field located on the north side of the track. Tents are only permitted within the designated roped-off area. Teams are not allowed on the softball infield (clay area).


Medical:

Athletic trainers will be available throughout the entire meet. The Athletic Training staff can be found at the tent positioned at the south end of the track, close to the start-finish line. Teams will need to provide their own athletic tape and supplies for competition. If school trainers would like to coordinate with us, please have them contact me.


Warm-Up:

Athletes are allowed to warm up only on the baseball field located across from Tent City. Warming up on the football field or infield is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification.


Check-In Procedures:

Runners are required to check in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of their event. Athletes must have their bibs visible and be fully dressed and prepared to compete at the time of check-in. Entry to the track will be through the south side of the stadium, near the field house. The check-in area will be located close to the scoreboard.

$200 per gender (Please see details below and send payment prior to the meet) Invoice located on Directathletics


Participants:

Each team may enter up to 4 athletes in each running event, 3 athletes in each field event, and one relay team. All entries must be submitted through Directathletics.com by Tuesday, February 11th at 11:59 PM. No athlete additions will be allowed at the event. This meet will be limited to the first 30 teams that submit payment. Late entries, changes, or additions will not be accepted before or during the meet.

Field Events:

Three attempts will be given to athletes in LJ, TJ, SP, JAV, and Discus. All legal attempts will be marked in throwing events and all field events will be run as finals.

This FHSAA Sanctioned Meet will follow the prescribed heights and incremental increases the same as District Meets so as to allow for athletes to ranked similarly for Regional At-Large consideration.

Weigh-ins:

Weigh-ins will be conducted for ALL field events; including Pole Vault. Weigh-ins will be conducted from 7:25 AM to 8:25 AM. Weigh-ins will take place on the tennis courts. Pole Vault weigh-ins will happen at the PV area.

Important Reminders:

  • Only athletes actively competing in an event are allowed on the infield. Wristbands will be issued to athletes participating in High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump.
  • Coaches must ensure their athletes stay off the infield. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
  • Field events, excluding vertical jumps, will allow a maximum of three attempts per athlete.
  • A maximum of four entries per running event and three entries per field event are permitted.
  • Warm-ups are restricted to the designated warm-up area located next to Tent City.
  • No changes or additions to entries will be accepted on the day of the meet; only scratches will be allowed.
  • All heat sheets will be available live on this website.
  • FHSAA rules will be strictly enforced.
  • Please do not assume your athletes or team are entered unless payment has been received.
  • Only pyramid spikes no longer than 1/4 inch will be allowed.
