Competition Communication & Info:

Meet updates and communication will be sent via emails that are listed on Direct Athletics. Only registered coaches will receive communication.

Awards:

Team Champion trophies will be awarded to the top Boys & Girls team at the conclusion of the meet. Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers.

Officials:

The Broward County Track & Field Officials Association will be on-site for this meet. 

Packet Pick-Up:

Packets will be available when gates open at 8:00AM. The coaches meeting will be conducted in the center of the Football field. You will be able to pick up packets during the coaches meeting at the Clerk of the Course tent.

Team Arrival & Parking:

Buses must follow the signs directing them to the designated team drop-off area near the softball field. Teams must follow the map and will not be permitted to unload near the spectator gate. After drop-off, buses will park in the lot near the baseball field. Please refer to the map below for details.

Athlete & Coaches

Athletes will not be permitted on the infield unless they are competing in long jump, triple jump, or high jump. Any athlete on the infield not competing in these events will be disqualified. Coaches will NOT be allowed on the infield due to state series rules . There will be Coaches boxes at long jump, triple jump, and high jump.

Medical:

Athletic trainers will be on site for the entire meet. The Athletic Training staff will be located at the tent at the south end of the track near the start-finish line. Teams will need to provide their own athletic tape and supplies for competition. If school trainers would like to coordinate

with us, please have them contact me.

Warm-Up:

Athletes may warm up on the baseball field near tent city. NO WARMING UP ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD/INFIELD. Warming up on the infield will result in disqualification.

Check-In Procedures:

Runners may check-in following the 1st call of their event. We ask all athletes to check-in during 1st call and then proceed to warm-up area. We will start staging athletes in the holding area after 2nd call. Athletes need to report to holding area ready to run. Athletes must be race ready when the check-in.

Participants:

Each team is limited to 4 athletes per running event, 4 athletes per field event. Entries must be entered into Directathletics.com

Field Events:

Four attempts will be given to athletes in LJ, TJ, SP, JAV, and Discus. All legal attempts will be marked in field events and all field events will be run as finals. Only the

28ft board (Girls) and the 36ft board (Boys) will be used for triple jump.

Weigh-ins:

Weigh-ins will be conducted for ALL field events; including Pole Vault. Weigh-ins will be conducted from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. Weigh-ins will take place on the tennis courts.

Important Reminders:

-No Athletes are permitted on the infield unless competing in an event 

-Coaches are requested to keep their athletes off the football field/infield (Will result in disqualification)

-Field Events (with the exception of vertical jumps) will allow 4 attempts

-No more than 4 entries per running event and 4 per field event

-Warm-ups will be limited to the designated warm-up area next to tent city

-No changes or additions will be allowed at the meet

-All heat sheets will be live on Half Mile timing

-FHSAA Rules prevail

-Spikes no longer than 1/4" pyramid will be permitted
