Competition Communication & Info:

Meet updates and communication will be sent via emails that are listed on Direct Athletics. Only registered coaches will receive communication.


Awards:

Team Champion trophies will be awarded to the top Boys & Girls team at the conclusion of the meet.


Officials:

The Broward County Track & Field Officials Association will be on-site for this meet. This meet will be sanctioned.


Packet Pick-Up:

Packets will be available when gates open at 12:00pm. The coaches meeting will be conducted in the center of the Football field. You will be able to pick up packets during the coaches meeting at the Clerk of the Course tent.


Parking:

Busses are asked to drop teams off on near baseball. There will be volunteers directing busses. Please check prior to meet for updates or changes.


Athlete & Coaches

Athletes will not be permitted on the infield unless they are competing in long jump, triple jump, or high jump. Any athlete on the infield not competing in these events will be disqualified. Teams will be assigned a field event to work. The final assignment list will be sent out one week prior to the LCAC meet.

If your team would like to request a specific event to work, please let me know. My goal is to have an official assigned to each event.

Medical:

Athletic trainers will be on site for the entire meet. The Athletic Training staff will be located at the tent at the south end of the track near the start-finish line.


Tent City:

Team tents are ONLY to be used on the softball field. Only athletes and coaches are to be in this area. Only runners with bibs will have access to this area.


Warm-Up:

Athletes may warm up on the softball near tent city. NO WARMING UP ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD/INFIELD. Warming up on the infield will result in disqualification.


Check-In Procedures:

Runners must check-in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each event. Athletes must have their bib with them and be fully dressed and ready to compete at the time of check-in. Athletes will enter the track on the south side of the stadium near the field house. Check-in area will be located on the tennis courts.

Cost:

Cost will be split between all schools. Invoice will be sent out after the meet.


Participants:

Each team may enter up to 4 athletes in each running event, 4 athletes in each field event, and one relay team. All entries must be submitted through Directathletics.com by Tuesday, April 7th at 11:59 PM. No athlete additions will be allowed at the event.

Field Events:

Three attempts will be given to athletes in LJ, TJ, SP, JAV, and Discus. All legal attempts will be marked in throwing events and all field events will be run as finals.

This FHSAA Sanctioned Meet will follow the prescribed heights and incremental increases the same as District Meets so as to allow for athletes to ranked similarly for Regional At-Large consideration.

Weigh-ins:

Weigh-ins will be conducted for ALL field events; including Pole Vault. Weigh-ins will be conducted from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Weigh-ins will take place on the tennis courts. Pole Vault weigh-ins will happen at the PV area.

Important Reminders:

  • Only athletes actively competing in an event are allowed on the infield.
  • Coaches must ensure their athletes stay off the infield. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
  • Field events, excluding vertical jumps, will allow a maximum of three attempts per athlete.
  • A maximum of four entries per running event and four entries per field event are permitted.
  • Warm-ups are restricted to the designated warm-up area located next to Tent City.
  • No changes or additions to entries will be accepted on the day of the meet; only scratches will be allowed.
  • All heat sheets will be available live on this website.
  • FHSAA rules will be strictly enforced.
  • Only pyramid spikes no longer than 1/4 inch will be allowed.
